Founded by Jerry Robertson in 1927, Robertsons Pharmacy has spent nearly a century evolving alongside the health needs of Bradford. From our original location on Mildred Street (BD3) and subsequent expansion on Otley Road, we have consistently adapted to modern times—most notably transitioning our photography department into a fully equipped, professional opticians. Today, Robertsons operates two accessible, community-focused hubs: our combined pharmacy and opticians within Farrow Medical Centre, and our health centre branch at Hillside Bridge. As we approach our 100-year milestone, we remain dedicated to delivering integrated clinical excellence and trusted care to our local community.
You may be entitled to free prescriptions if you are under 16, aged 60 or over, pregnant or have had a baby in the last 12 months, have a qualifying medical condition such as diabetes or epilepsy, or receive certain means-tested benefits. Our team can help you check your entitlement and complete the relevant exemption certificate if applicable.
Yes, provided the prescription has been issued by a prescriber registered with a recognised UK regulatory body such as the GMC or GPhC. We are unable to dispense prescriptions from unregistered sources. If you are unsure whether your prescription is valid, contact our team before visiting, and we will be able to advise you.
Yes — through our Pharmacy First service, our pharmacists can assess and treat a range of common conditions including infections, skin conditions and minor illnesses, without you needing a GP appointment.
